Scholarship Impact

Your gift to UH Bauer College has the potential to help students fulfill their dreams. At Bauer, where most students work their way through school and often are the first in their family to attend college, scholarship money is especially critical. It can be the deciding factor that can make or break a student's ability to earn a degree, which in turn defines their future.

“Apart from the monetary relief, it was indeed heartening to see that there are people who are taking note of the hard work and dedication that most of us put in to reach our dreams. This award has not only helped me move closer to my own dream but also made me realize the importance of giving back to your alma mater.”

“I am not your typical college student. I’ve struggled balancing my schedule and budget while being a mother of three young children, managing an internship, being a full-time student, performing as president of a parent-teacher organization and participating in the Program for Excellence in Selling. Receiving this scholarship has not only relieved the financial burdens of schooling and allowed me to focus on completing my degree; it has given me the chance to excel.”

“As a first generation American and the first in my family to attend college, the challenge of how to pay for higher education has been at the forefront of pursuing my degree. Fortunately, the scholarships I have been awarded have helped me go from being entirely dependent on the income I made working full-time to being able to focus more on academics and involvement with student organizations.”
