Community Education & Outreach
While less than one in five low-income students typically attends college nationally, KIPP’s college matriculation rate stands at nearly 80 percent for students who complete the eighth grade at KIPP. In addition, KIPP alumni have earned over $12 million in college scholarships.

Prepared 4 Life focuses on building assets in middle-school-aged (ages 10 – 14) kids by integrating life skills, character education and entrepreneurship with engaging experiential, fun after-school activities. Lemonade Day is a citywide event aimed at Greater Houston area youth, designed to teach young people how to start, own and operate their own lemonade businesses.
