Log onto the Online Component

The online component of Bauer Experience is hosted on the password-protected environmet of WebCT Vista. WebCT Vista is an easy to use package of online tools many UH instructors use to deliver or to supplement their classes. Your current WebCT Vista user id and password can be used to access the online component.

If you are new to the University of Houston, or have never used WebCT Vista before, here are the steps to get going.

• Get your WebCT Vista User ID Input your SSN or UHID number to receive you User ID. For existing accounts, the password is the last password used. For new users the initial password is your birthdate in the format mmddyyx! (where yy is your two digit birth year and x is the first character of your last name in lowercase. Then add an exclamation point (shift + 1) at the end.
• Check your browser Find out how to configure your browser to work with WebCT Vista 3.0. This is a critical step in ensuring that you have the best experience using WebCT Vista.
• Download Plug-ins A good majority of these plug-ins will be needed to view the multi-modal content in the program. It is recommended that you download these plug-ins before beginning the program.
• - The Bauer Experience is undergoing an extreme makeover!!  The online component will be down for maintenance from August 10 - August 20 (first class day).
