Filing a degree plan
Filing a degree plan (declaring a major) is the process of switching your major from Pre-Business (PREBUS) to a specific concentration.
Degree requirements for any particular major are subject to change and may occur as often as every two years. Filing a degree plan secures students to the requirements specific to a catalog year. Consecutively enrolled students may remain on a degree plan for a period not to exceed seven years.
Students should submit Degree Plan requests while enrolled in all remaining courses to fulfill degree plan requirements as early in the filing period as possible. You must have a valid UH e-mail alias on your request form in order to receive the status of your Degree Plan Request.
Students that have reached the five course limit on 3000-level business courses must file for a degree plan during these designated periods to take any remaining 3000-level and any 4000-level business courses.
