EOG Resources, Inc. Chairman and CEO Shares Lessons for Success with C.T. Bauer College of Business Graduate Programs’ Spring 2006 Graduates

Mark G. Papa, Chairman and Chief Executive Officer of EOG Resources, Inc. addressed a capacity crowd of graduates, faculty, family and friends during the May 12, 2006 C.T. Bauer College of Business Graduate Programs commencement ceremony held at the Cullen Performance Hall on the University of Houston campus.  Speaking to the 216 graduates, Mr. Papa offered a set of six lessons he had learned through life that laid a foundation for success.  Hard work and sacrifice were the underpinnings of his message as he assured the Bauer graduates that they can be whatever they set out to be.

EOG Resources is one of the leading independent exploration and production companies in the United States.  Since 1989, EOG has increased its worldwide natural gas production from 350 to over 1.3 billion cubic feet per day and is one of the most active drillers in the U.S.  Mark Papa earned his MBA at the Bauer College of Business in 1980.
