The Houston MBA Full Time Day Program

The Houston MBA Full Time Day Program offers a select group of students a chance to complete their MBA in a rigorous, involving format that provides tremendous networking and career development opportunities while enabling them to finish in 21 months. The program features 30 hours of core classes that give students an essential overview of business knowledge, and an additional 18 hours of electives that can be targeted in a variety of career-related concentrations.

Being part of this program involves not only the traditional classroom experience but also participation in a variety of academic, social and service activities that prepare students for future leadership roles. An internship component encourages students to apply their academic experiences to the real world and to explore different career paths. In sum, for students who are interested in both an intellectual challenge and an opportunity to expand their career options, the Full Time Day Program is an excellent choice.

The goals of the MBA program are to provide graduates with…

1. effective written communication skills,
2. the ability to integrate different functional areas in solving business problems,
3. critical thinking skills to analyze business situations and recommend appropriate action,
4. an awareness of the environment of business, including areas such as law, politics, culture, and technology,
5. the ability to identify ethical issues, evaluate them, and propose alternative courses of action.

Application Requirements

• Online application using the Texas Common Application
• $75 Bauer College Application Fee (may submit check or money order, made payable to the University of Houston, or may be paid online via credit card using the Texas Common Application.) 
• Official Transcripts from all colleges and universities attended
• Official GMAT Score Report, less than 5 years old  (Code XT1-26-83)
• Resumé
• Goal Statement.  It should be a 1-2 page discussion of the reasons you are pursing an MBA and how this degree fits into your career aspirations, as well as why you chose the University of Houston.  Please include any additional information you think the Admissions Committee might find useful. 
• Two (2) Letters of Recommendation from academics, employers or professionals.  These should be on official letterhead and placed in a sealed envelope with the writer's signature across the back flap for confidentiality.

Applications are Only accepted for the Fall semester. The Houston MBA Full-time program does not have any other entry dates.
