Natalie Sumrow


A proud Cougar and Texan, Natalie Sumrow moved from Dallas to Houston in 1993 to attend the University of Houston. She completed her BBA in Finance with Membership in the Honors College in 1998. Immediately following, she accepted a position as an academic advisor for the Conrad Hilton College. Later, she completed her second BBA. in Entrepreneurship while pursuing an opportunity in the private sector. She worked for an environmental consulting company for three years and gained acceptance into graduate school. She happily returned back to higher education as an academic advisor for Finance in 2002 and finished her MBA from the Bauer College in 2005. After eight years in the field, Natalie was promoted to Assistant Director for Major Programs where she managed the advising function for all declared business majors. In January 2011, Natalie was promoted to Director for Major Advising in the Office of Undergraduate Business Programs. She is a member of the National Academic Advising Association (NACADA) and has presented on academic advising related issues at both regional and national conferences.
