Michael Neel

Bio
Dr. Neel joined the faculty at the C. T. Bauer College of Business in September 2011 as an Assistant Professor of Accounting. He receieved his Ph.D. in May 2011 from Texas A&M University, where he taught financial accounting. Dr. Neel's research interests include financial reporting, with an emphasis on the impact of legal institutions, standards and information intermediaries on firms' financial reporting environments. Professor Neel also studies international comparisons of accounting, share-based compensation and opportunistic reporting. He currently teaches undergraduate intermediate financial accounting courses.
