Bio
After earning her degree in graphic design from Iowa State University, Marla moved to Houston to begin a career in journalism. She has over 20 years of experience working for Houston-area newspapers as a news artist, graphic reporter, web designer and editor. She also expresses her creativity outside the office by designing garden and market displays for the organic gardening business she runs with her husband.
