Joanna Arnold is pursuing her PhD in Marketing at University of Houston's Bauer College. Joanna received her BA in Philosophy and English from University of Texas at Austin and her MA in Philosophy from University of Houston. Her interests in marketing research are motivated by her fascination with language and her love for good stories, as well as by a healthy dose of curiosity regarding human behavior. These interests converge around several fascinating areas in consumer behavior, particularly in research relating to cognitive reasoning, information processing, and the role of emotions in consumer decision-making. Her current research is primarily focused on factors that influence narrative transportation and persuasion, and language use in advertising, specifically in luxury marketing.
