Bio
Archer McWhorter received his Ph.D. in statistics and management science from the University of Michigan in 1974, the same year he joined the College of Business faculty at UH. His research has been published in leading journals, including Journal of the American Statistical Association, Journal of Financial and Quantitative Analysis, and Journal of Risk and Insurance. He has received the CBA Distinguished Faculty Member award and numerous awards for teaching excellence. His current research focuses on evaluation of the medical malpractice risk faced by hospitals and physicians.
