The mission of the Rockwell Career Center is to complement C. T. Bauer College students’ academic experiences with professional development to help them attain successful and fulfilling business careers and increase the value of Bauer to the business community.

Career Fair – what the corporate world is saying about recruiting at Bauer College:

Natalie Amparan, Halliburton
“The Career Fair consistently provides “very fertile ground,” for finding quality job candidates and noted that six representatives from her company were barely enough to keep pace with the number of students interested in talking about job and/or intern opportunities at Halliburton.”

Kim Winkler, Ernst & Young
Noted that the Big Four firm has benefited from an ongoing relationship with Bauer’s Professional Program in Accounting:
“It’s sort of started a trickle-down effect. We have gotten such great students, and word spreads.”   She also appreciates the benefit of meeting students in person.  “It’s hard, sometimes, when everything is submitted electronically, to get a sense of who students are,” Winkler says. “This gives us a chance to connect with students on a one-on-one basis.”

Quincy Jones, Ameriprise Financial
Although his company hasn’t made a huge number of UH hires, Jones said that “the ones we do have (typically in Finance, Marketing, or Entrepreneurship) are very high quality.”

Carin Asby, PricewaterhouseCoopers
At the PricewaterhouseCoopers booth, Asby noted the benefit of being exposed “to all kinds of students,” at the Bauer Career Fair. “There is a more diverse population and non-traditional students who tend to have different stories, and we love that.
