The Houston Chapter of the Institute of Internal Auditors (IIA) is awarding two $1500 scholarships to U.H. students who plan on completing the three courses (ACCT 4375: Internal Audit, ACCT 4397: Enterprise Risk Management, and ACCT4397: Control & Security of Financial Information) required for the Global IIA and Bauer Internal Audit Certificates before they graduate with a BBA in Accounting, or who are taking the Risk or Internal Audit Track as an MS Accountancy student.
To be considered you must be an undergraduate student and

Have a 3.0 or higher GPA
- Have completed ACCT 4375: Internal Audit as an undergraduate student or ACCT7397 Governance as a MS Accountancy student
- Write and sign a letter of introduction/goal statement (2-3 pages maximum) explaining why you are interested in internal audit and what your career goals are
- Please include a statement that you will be completing the Internal Audit Certificate (if you are an undergrad student) or Risk or Internal Audit Track (if you are a MS Accountancy student) at the end of your letter/goal statement

Submit a copy of your class schedule for the fall semester showing you are taking the remaining one or two courses needed to complete both the Bauer and Global IIA Certificate in Internal Auditing before you graduate with your current degree

Include a copy of your resume and an official transcript
