The Tax Executive Institute (TEI) is giving $25,000 in scholarships to ten qualified applicants this December. We are one of only 5 educational institutions receiving these awards, in recognition of the high quality of our MS Accountancy Program Taxation Track. Two scholarships will be presented to Bauer MS Accountancy Tax Track students at the TEI Christmas party on December 19th.
To be considered you must be registered as a full time MS Accountancy Tax Track student in the Spring 2010 semester, and
- Have a 3.0 or higher GPA;
- Write a letter of introduction (2-3 pages maximum) explaining why you are interested in practicing in the area of tax, any experience you have in tax what your career goals are, and any financial need you may have;
- Submit a copy of your class schedule for the fall semester; and,
- Include a copy of your resume and an official transcript.
Please deliver the application package to the attention of Michael Newman (MH 390A) by noon
Friday, November 13th. The recipients will be announced on Friday, November 20th and will be invited to attend the TEI Christmas Party, where they will receive their checks. If you are selected, please be prepared to give them your social security number.
Students entering the MS Accountancy Program in 2010 are eligible as long as they are pursuing the Tax Track.
