Certificate in Accountancy program

Admission to this program is through the University of Houston Office of Admissions for students who apply and meet the university requirements for non-degree-seeking post-baccalaureate applicants. Anyone who has obtained a bachelor's degree is eligible to apply to the Certificate of Accountancy Program.

NOTE: If you need to register for ACCT 2331(financial accounting) and/or 2332(managerial accounting) please contact the CAP advisor at cap@uh.edu

1. New students to UH:
   • Domestic Students
     • Applicaton: www.applytexas.org
     • Official transcripts (must be sealed)
     • Check payable to UH for $50
   • Students with International Credentials
     • Applicaton: www.applytexas.org
     • Official transcripts (to be evaluated by International Admissions Office)
     • Official TOEFL scores (must be less than 5 years)
     • Check payable to UH for $75
2. Please be aware that the Apply Texas on-line Application has specific deadlines. The electronic application will not be submitted for that semester after these specific deadlines.
   • Summer deadline - April 1st
   • Fall deadline - May 1st
   • Spring deadline - December 1st

   If it is past the deadline for that particular semester please print the application and send it in to the address below.

Please mail the complete application package to the Undergraduate Programs Office, 334 Melcher Hall, Houston, TX 77204-6021. Attention: CAP. Students on campus may turn in the application package to 275 Melcher Hall. Only completed applications will be reviewed by our Office and forwarded to the Admissions office for processing. Incomplete applications will be returned to students.
